Stock trading academy review

Just want to say this is the best Academy ever came here for 3 day classes and ended up enrolling in the Mastermind because we wanted to learn so much more. It has been very good and not to mention the instructors are great, the staff is very helpful and professional. I have to say this has been one of the best decisions my husband and I have made by far. Have you ever gotten in to head to head battle with a live bull?

How about a bear? Of course you haven't, you don't have the skills to survive such an encounter. At least not without some learning serious fighting chops, understanding how the creatures operate in "combat", and a tried and true methodology for doing battle and surviving.

Online Trading Academy claims to be able to be able to arm you with just those right things, but instead of fighting the live versions of bulls and bears you are doing battle with their stock market counterparts. My Dad and I went to their half-day seminar at a local hotel and subsequently attended the 3-day workshop held at the Online Trading Academy headquarters in Irvine a week later. Having read many negative reviews here on Yelp I was well aware that this would be a sales-pitch for their continuing education, and it was, but wrapped in an experience that was truly enlightening, helpful, and eye-opening.

Our teacher for the 3 days was Darren Kimoto, and he was fascinating. With 13 years of stock market experience managing money he made the class fun, funny, and hugely informative to a brand new investor like me. Not once was he condescending toward any of the students who had to have some of the concepts explained more than once as they got more complex.

Come on, Options can be hard to bend your mind around at first explanation He was engaged and obviously loves what he does. Each day you meet with your personal counselor, who is in charge of selling you the continuing education once the teacher has you convinced that the only way to navigate the dangerous and trap-ridden markets is with the patented methodologies that OTA offers.

The classes they offer and ridiculously expensive, with the baseline "foot in the door" class that Darren Kimoto explained really wouldn't teach you anything but is a requirement to access the rest of the curriculum applicable toward trading on your own.

Mind you, those are the discounted rates, good while you are there on campus for the three day seminar. Past that they return to their regular price, all double the amount. Why would a school have to manipulate it's tuition to get folks to "buy today!

Ultimately my Dad and I chose not to continue. At many points the teacher would warn us of the dangers of trying to educate ourselves with books or YouTube videos, but I'll take my chances. My rating is for OTA's 3 days seminar, which I really believe changed my life and the way I view money. I have wanted to address my fears for so long but really didn't know where to start. Being exposed to these new concepts, theories, and ideas has me hooked and since then I've picked up Tony Robbins book Money, Master the Game, as well as Jim Cramer's Real Money.

Contrary to what Mr. Kimoto said, there is A LOT to be learned from books, especially when you are new.

This is my first time coming to the Online Trading Academy and I've had excellent and professional. My overall experience has been incredible from the first time that I attended the first free workshop until just a couple of months ago when I finished my Professional Trading Course.

My husband and I signed up for the Professional Forex Trading Course because we are serious and committed to creating a whole new future as a professional Forex Trader. This courses are not, and I repeat, are not for those curious about trading. This is a professional educational school that will charge what the information is worth.

So far, we have been successful in our trades and there's tons of resources that the academy offers. We are still on training wheels but have never experienced going through this alone. I love Online Trading Academy! I'm giving OTA 5 stars based on my 4 hour free seminar and 3 Day Market Timing experience.

It was definitely worth it to me to go. I feel like I've learned some insightful knowledge that a lot of us are unaware. I joined OTA and enrolled my son with me after attending another school two years ago because I felt the strategies taught here are more realistic and up to date with what is actually happening in each specific market. I am totally impressed with the staff and how clean the facility is inside and out.

The daily breakfast and lunch is more than just a service but a meal you can enjoy better than going out somewhere and spending your time and money. The instructors are experts in their respective fields and I am honored to be more than a student to them as well. The courses are top notch and practical experience in the live market gives confidence and understanding that you can do this after you get home and perform trading on your own.

Thanks OTA, I proud to tell anyone that I am a graduate of your academy! OTA provides a high level of education for anyone serious about trading. The instructors and staff are amazingly supportive. The classes are very interactive and you leave knowing you recieved real world instruction. Yes, it is something that needs to be mastered and you will need time and practice to become good at it, but if you follow the training outline and put the effort in you will make succesful trades.

I started about 18 months ago and it really is just like they say. They tell you up front that not every trade will be succesful but by following the methods taught you will make money on your winning trades that more than offset your losing trades. I am very happy with my training and highly recommend OTA.

Prior to attending, I unsuccessfully traded options with techniques I learned from prior seminars. OTA teaches you how to manage your risks in trading which is the key to success in trading.

Something other courses did not teach. The hands on learning experience is what I love the most, and I walk away from each class knowing I can do it on my own. They have also opened other pathways of trading such as futures and forex. Prior I had only heard of options and stocks. This really gives you the ability to choose what is best for you or to add them all together and increase your monetary gains from trading.

The teachers are great and the staff members are super friendly. Why am I so happy with my OTA education on a day that I did not make a dime?????? I did not make money that day largely ended flat on the day , but my goal when I started was not to make money on these days as I am personally not interested in being a Day Trader - but my goal was to have an account that is growing at a decent rate whether the market is going UP, DOWN or SIDEWAYS - AND to avoid having an equity curve that follows the down moves in the market and my trading plan did that just the way I hoped.

THAT IS WHY I AM SO HAPPY ON A DAY I DID NOT MAKE A DIME IN THE MARKETS! Instead, I ended largely neutral on the day with my YTD gains intact. In addition, I have a higher return in Q1, than my former "Money Manager" has returned any year in the past 7 years. I was hesitant at first in enrolling in these classes because I saw a bunch of these negative Yelp reviews. However I based my decision on my gut feeling and I'm glad I did. My mother and I enrolled in the mastermind program.

I'm just about done with my last class and I'm confident in about going into live trading and making an income from it. The instructors are great and getting the hands on training on the trade station platform definitely prepares you for becoming a professional trader. The patented strategy they teach works. I'm happy I came here. I have nothing but good things to say about Online Trading Academy!

From the facility, the ciriculum, the instuctors and all the support staff I will admit I was a little hesitant to commit to the financial investment required to participate in the courses I was interested in. I gave it a lot of thought and finally decided that I was worth the investment. I was ready to make a career change and wanted to do something completely different than the sales jobs I have always had.

I took my first classes in March, , Pro Trader and Forex, and I now feel like I'm on my way to becoming a professional trader. I have a ways to go but the good news is that I have lifetime retakes of any of my classes and constant support with online sessions. The people who gave OTA stars obviously never signed up for classes. They will never know what they missed out on! I'm so happy that I made the decision to go for it! So far, Pro Trader and Forex classes have been very good.

Loved learning from Craig Weil and Tracy Hubbard! The one-on-one in-class training is so invaluable. The online recordings are so helpful for reviewing and applying the lessons. The resources are there and the student can take advantage of them all! Making profits is all that is left If you're going to manage your own money and want to learn how to do this - Online Trading Academy is the way to go!

Make the investment in educating yourself instead of the market taking your investment from you. I can tell you first hand, if I had taken the course before I invested on my own I would be way ahead of the game. You can make money back but you cannot get the wasted years back and stress of losing. The instructors at Irvine location are highly skilled and dedicated to giving every student the skills they need to trade successfully in the financial markets.

Online Trading Academy OTA will pressure you to spend a lot of money, a little bit at a time. I attended their Free Power Trading half-day seminar at the Hilton Hotel in Pasadena. Imagine you want to take the Options Extended Learning Track XLT , which will include weekly Webinars with trade recommendations. You must take the following courses in order, with each being required before taking the next: How much will you have to make each month to cover the cost of your education and monthly subscription fees?

It's a very steep hill to climb. The complimentary USB stick contained 5 marketing videos, all of which can be found on OTA's YouTube channel.

In sum, don't expect to get the "secret sauce" cheaply. Expect to pay tens of thousands of dollars for OTA's version of technical analysis.

I believe the instructors are legitimate and knowledgeable traders, but unless you can commit incredible resources to pay for the classes and subsequent subscription fees, don't expect to ever get enough detail on the "secret formula" to make it worth your while. The ProTrader class really gave me the foundational knowledge to trade.

I can see now that their Core Strategy is the key to success. I'm excited about continuing to practice it and get better and better. I've been a student of online trading academy for 3 years and highly recommend their education. I have taken many of their courses in the Irvine facility and also regularly attending the online track XLT..

The people in OTA always showed genuine interest in my success. They have been there for me despite my early struggles with picking up some of the new concepts. Their education and content is real and really helped me focus myself and gave me the tools I needed to become more financially successful.

I attend the online XLT sessions regularly and a big fan of the concept - being around other like-minded individuals and the ability to bounce ideas off one another really makes a difference. I was surprised to see a number of negative reviews on here most of these people didn't even experience the actual education.. Yes - they'll offer you to purchase education at the free workshop, Yes - their education isn't the cheapest out there but the bottom line is you get what you pay for and joining OTA has been one of the best decisions I've made for my financial future.

It is not worth for money we have paid. But too bad, too late to find out. They seem to respect you before you sign up, but just wait until you pay and try to take some class a couple of times, you will find out how they will treat you Won't respond to your phone calls! Lots of hassle to register for a class?

It is very sad that this company exists. They are selling a dream not reality to people that are poor and hopeful. All they will do is saddle these people with massive student debt. They say their successful traders and only have to work a couple of hours a day yet the staff are there They look like they buy their clothes from K-Mart and none drive nice cars.

These people are not successful traders! If they were as successful as they claim they would be any where but there. I attended the free workshop from 10 am to 1 pm, and it was a waste of time as I expected. I must be crazy to pass up such a great opportunity, but I did.

At least, there was no pressure to sign up though as other reviewers said. The instructor seemed to be knowledgeable about what he was talking about. He has been doing this for 9 years.

If this system works, why are they so eager to teach strangers for such little money? Maybe because they are angels? I did not even want to discuss anything with them because they told me they can time the market. If they know how to time the market, they should be richer than Warren Buffett. Great school and well worth the money.

The teachers are experienced and professional. Their help is invaluable and they are very interested in seeing you become successful. The online resources are excellent and the tools are very useful. You could easily lose the dollar amount trading that you spend on the courses and have nothing to show for it. In fact you could easily lose that much in one day. They teach the strategy and risk management necessary to be successful. Great folks to work with and learn from. The catering is great too.

I went to the OTA real estate class with my husband July 10th, it was very informative and the speaker Kim, provided many examples of real estate deals he himself has made money in and I was able to understand. I like the idea of learning how to do wholesaling and then graduate to fix and flip properties.

I'm looking forward to the next class which is coming up soon I'll. I have all the tools for success just I need a roadmap and some direction. I would love to do this part time.
